Some Sleazy News....

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

New Mardi Gras today confirms one of the most reported rumours doing the circuit – the Rogue Traders will perform at Sleaze, Sinsuality, the biggest fundraiser for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
“The Rogue Traders will perform at Sleaze,” said Marcus Bourget, New Mardi (NMG) Chair. “I can also announce Melissa Tkautz will perform at Sleaze, which gives our sinners two of Australia’s hottest acts between 10 of Australia’s biggest DJs.”“Such talent in the one night shows New Mardi Gras really is known for producing the biggest, brashest and best gay and lesbian parties throughout the world.”

There will be 7 themed shows for 7 Sleazy Sins:
Show 1 – Sloth: Something new for Sleaze – make sure you arrive early. Stiltwalkers and a light display that will blow you away to an amazing Spanish inspired soundtrack. What’s the first? We can’t tell you but if its looks as though we still haven’t finished bump in when you arrive don’t be surprised!

Show 2 – Greed: Another first for Sleaze – a full-on production number in the Forecourt area. Minnie Cooper is choreographing a J-Lo / ghetto inspired number with more glamour and bling bling than a limousine full of drag queens on a Saturday night in downtown Oxford Street.

Show 3 – Vanity: Sleaze goes old school with a big community, big spectacle, big extravaganza number. With choreography by Amy Delves and a soundtrack that features a medley of current dance hits and old school favourites over 50 performers will entertain you with an 18th Century inspired production that will have more than a passing resemblance to this year’s awesome advertising campaign! Think massive.

Show 4 – Gluttony: A Sleaze show for the women. What can we say? Think sex, think corsets, think top hats and think food. It’ll all be going off in the LOTL Women’s Bar!

Show 5 – Wrath: - Opera meets Martial arts with Asian inspired theatrical spectacle which will leave people dead in their tracks. With a live vocal performance by a special guest and movement by Penny Gulliver.

Show 6 – Envy: Featuring a current chart sensation and an envious group of red carpet wanna-be’s who will be battling it out to get the attention of our very very special guest performer. Prepare for all out drag-queen war as you’ve never seen it before. Choreography is James Taylor.

Show 7 – Lust: A fitting end to a fantastic party – The Frocks and the Sydney Convicts will entertain you with their very special tribute to Lust. With Summer around the corner expect a beach party / Gidget inspired show with skimpy thongs and choreography by Virginia Ferris.

Sleaze ‘Sinsuality’ is to be held at the Hordern Pavilion and Royal of Industries on Saturday, 1 October 2005. Ten of Sydney’s finest DJs will keep the halls pumping and include DIVA DJ of the year Sveta, Feisty and Mandy Rollins back-2-back, Kate Monroe, Ruby, Chip, Greg Boladian, Luke Leal and Jake Kilby back-2-back and Dan Murphy.

Sleaze Tickets are available now from all Ticketek outlets, www.ticketek.com.au or Ph. 13 28 49. Ticket costs are $109 for members, $119 for non-members, $89 concession and $135 at the door (unless sold out).

The Seven Deadly Sins No. 7 Of 7 "Envy"

Here is the final poster in a series of Seven to promote Sleaze Ball 2005 "Sinsuality" coming this Saturday night at Fox Studios Sydney.
In the past only one poster has been produced for Sleaze Ball but New Mardi Gras have really gone all out producing 7 different posters to represent each one of the Seven deadly Sins, quite an incredible effort considering they are all a result of people donating their time, artistic direction and services to create these at very little cost.

I gotta say I'm hangin out for this weekend something bad!! Sleaze Ball on Saturday Night, Luminere at Luna Park the next day then flying off on Monday for a week in Byron Bay with a Sydney contingent to celebrate a friends 40th Birthday. I think after the sensory overload during the weekend it will provide the perfect escape to TRY and wind down....knowing what my friends are like though I know I am kidding myself if I think thats going to happen.

Jack burned with an envy that he knew would not cease,
For the jewel of the court, young Prince Henry's codpiece.
So stealthily one night, entering the royal chamber,
He slyly plucked it from the tired princely member!

Don't Veto!!

A bill granting full marriage rights to same-sex couples narrowly passed the California Assembly and Senate. It is now before the Governator who has already stated an inclination to veto it.

Please take 15 seconds to call his office (they're accepting calls from anywhere, even if you're not his constituent)--you don't have to talk to anyone, just enter two numbers to state your support. Follow these directions:
1. Call the Governor: 916-445-2841
2. Push: 2 to voice your opinion on legislation (you don't actually have to voice your opinion, this is just what the automated recording says)
3. Push: 1 (gender-neutral marriage bill - Senate Bill 849)
4. And push: 1 to support marriage equality

This is going to be my 7th Sleaze and with a new Production company as well as an incredible creative team spearheading the Party it's going to be a very fun and sexy night for all involved.

Up above the highway she rides among the rocks,
Greediest of robbers and cunning like a fox!
She'll make you surrender, at the point of her knife,
Not just treasures and gold - she'll even take your wife

The Gift That Keeps On Giving...

So while enjoying the fun of Sunday's "Recovery" Party, One of the Host's went out with a friend to head up to the stores to pick up some supplies. When the two Boys came back they were loaded up to the arms with these gift bags, I guess the "Festive" mood of the Party had rubbed off on them and they decided to buy some presents for everyone.
I felt like a kid at Christmas all over again as one by one we all took our turn to sit on the Boys laps and receive our Presents. My Gift was a Moneybox and I was instructed that every time I jerk off and blow a load I have to throw a buck in and I can open the Money Box on the October Long weekend to go towards Party favors. As if I needed ANY encouragement to do that activity!. Ya gotta love these Boys though, they really know what it takes to get someone motivated.
So if I look like I am having a REALLY good time on the October Long weekend then you will know why!

And while I am on a role of answering questions no one ever asked the Money Box is printed with the design of the Australian 10 Dollar note that just so happens to feature the Great Australian Poet Banjo Patterson who was born in 1864 in my hometown of Orange, New South Wales.

So running total now stands at about 17 bucks but I think I am about to lose count of that, Too much information Hey !!

Some Homesexual Moments.....

A life size Zebra floating above the Dancefloor......

On Saturday Night I went to "Homesexual" the first of a new series of Parties held at Superclub "Home" at Darling Harbour and it was a REALLY fun night. The warm balmy evening that Sydney was experiencing had everyone in really great spirits and It was great to catch up with alot of friends that I hadn't seen for ages, while making some new ones as well.

My Friend and Party Partner in crime David did the theming for the sold out Party and his hard work in the weeks leading up to the event really paid off. From ancient Aztec monoliths guarding the entrance of the main room to Zebra's and Tigers perched up high above the dance floor there was always lots of fun scenery at hand to transform the normally minimalist club setting. David is also heading the creative force behind this years Sleaze Ball on the October long weekend so I can't wait to see he has in store for interpreting this years theme of "Sinsuality" The Seven Deadly Sins. With a great crowd and 3 different rooms of great music to pick from I stayed right till the end before leaving at around 8am to head onto a private recovery party that powered on though the day and into the early evening, the Recovery (which isn't really about recovering!) was an insane amount of fun and an incredibly great way to finish off the weekend.

I also want to add that towards the end of the night I was on the dancefloor when a Man came up to me and complimented me on the Blog, It was the first time I had ever been recognised from "Californication" and it completely knocked me sideways to be honest. I know that not many people in Australia read this so it was pretty surprising. He's a Bill in Exile reader and also a friend of Joe My God's so if your reading this I'm really sorry that I forgot your name but thankyou for coming over and saying Hello!, I wont forget it! ooxx

And The Winner is....

A Big Congratulations to Scott from Bill In Exile for Winning "Thought Not Hotties" - The Gay Blogger Edition over at Oliver's Blog. (both linked at right)
I think Scott has gotta be on the Hottest Daddies on the Planet and I gotta say- being the dog deprived guy that I am, I'll admit that I'm a little Jealous that he gets the prize of taking Oliver's gorgeous Rottweiler "Boo" for a walk.
My needs aside though I'm thrilled that Scott has won and I'll just have to drown my sorrows by getting on a plane to Seattle and pay a visit to Scott and Rich's place so I can Take Moby and Ripley for a walk instead (amongst other things).

If That's ok with you Scott??

This made my heart melt....

I was reading an article in the Sydney Morning Herald's "Good Weekend" liftout and came across this in an interview with the AMAZING american photojournalist Mary Allen Mark.
As if her Photo's werent a good enough reason to love this woman.....

"I love Dogs," she says. "I adore them. When I'm teaching in Mexico I rescue dogs from the streets and make my students adopt them."
They do have mechanical dogs in their apartment, and every Christmas Mark throws a party for about 40 real dogs, with their owners in tow. They are encoraged to arrive in Limousines and dress up their dogs in costumes. "The dogs love it," she says. "they're all excited and happy and wagging their tails. They know it's a special occasion and that it's all about them. We have a different theme every year, and put out bowls of mint flavoured water. We tried putting out food but with 40 dogs, that didn't work out so well."

What about other animals?

"I'm not much for cats, I'm terrified of mice. I've worked alot with elephants and they they are extremely intelligent and sensitive and thankfully they seem to like me. You never want to get on the bad side of an elephant.
And never trust a chimp."

Awww Man!!!.......I wish I could throw a Party for Puppy Dogs,
One Day..........

Sydney Heats Up.....

The last 2 days have been so amazing, I know its only the beginning of Spring but it feels like Summertime already. I made my first visit to the pool since last summer to do some laps yesterday and went again today, I love the buzz of the city and the fragrant smell in the air that only comes with these kind of days...not to long now and it will be time for the beach - lazy days spent with those friends that share the pleasure of having days off during the week. Days of bumming around on North Bondi catching some sun, waves and eating Banana bread while everyone else is slaving away at the 9-5. Unfortunatley The beach sessions this summer will be minus Richard who is off to South America shortly, I wouldnt exactly call the transition from the beaches of Sydney to those of Brazil a too harder deal to put up with but I sure will be missing you!

Going to a Party tonight "Homesexual" held at superclub "Home" at Darling Harbour, its a new gay event for the normally heterosexual club and with my friend David doing the theming and a whole other slew of really talented party people involved I think it will make for a really fun Saturday night, gonna take my camera along and hopefully get some pics to post back on the Blog.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory finally opened here last Thursday so l went to see it last night with Anthony and Dwayne who is visiting from LA . This has gotta be one of the best movies I have seen in ages, I loved the odd undertones of the film and it had that unmistakable Tim Burton feel to it which totally solidified the appeal for me, I urge anyone who hasnt seen this to go and watch it!.

In a few weeks the the film will be showing at IMAX as well, which is a few minutes walk from home so I fully intend on going to see it again on the BIG screen straight after a delicious meal of Honey dipped Mushrooms.

Happy Birthday Margeaux!!

On Saturday night I went out to celebrate my friend David's 30th Birthday, it was a very special night held at French Drag Artist Claire De Lunes stunning warehouse loft where she treated us with champagne on arrival, a sensational 5 course dinner followed by truffles and coffee by the fire. more importantly, it was just a great group of friends getting together to toast to an incredible man.

Thanks for a very fun night David, whether it be losing time having the most intense conversations while holed up in a West Hollywood hotel, Hanging out Backstage at Cher's Farewell Tour, or just coffee at your place late after work, the time spent with you is always memorable and I look forward to many more crazy adventures (and WE KNOW there will be in the next few years!!) with you in the future. OOXX

While young men of court his bedroom did pack.

To ensure the young prince did finally rise.
