Where I belong....
It's the first day of Winter here in Sydney and I don't wanna be here.....
I know I can't complain though - It's not like this place is a bad trade off for LA but It's not where I belong.

It's fascinating to me that you idealize Los Angeles when you live in a city so similar to it in many ways now. Interesting blog; I'm adding you to my blogroll.
It's a wonderful thing that people who love LA can live there. :)
I hate the place myself. With the pervasive drugs, race riots, illegal immigration, and police corruption, it's a fortress, with violence always lurking just underneath the surface, and everyone terrified of each other. And it's also more fashion-obsessed than Paris or NYC, shallow, and full of people who love exclusivity and shunning others as an end in itself.
Sydney is known for being nonviolent and casual, although on the other hand for being a bit of a boring backwater. I'm from Texas, have visited LA and not Sydney, am considering someday living in Sydney, but not LA.
